Before You Begin
This assessment evaluates competency in the safe administration of Schedule 8 controlled substances (Morphine, Fentanyl, Ketamine) in the event medical setting, as an additional scope of practice under EMS Event Medical clinical governance and the EMS TGA Medications Licence.
How it works
- Applicant details — identity, AHPRA registration, signature.
- Scope selection — choose any or all of Morphine, Fentanyl, Ketamine. Only drugs you select and fully pass appear on the certificate.
- Knowledge — a core S8 section plus a module for each selected drug. 100% is required for the core section and for each drug module independently.
- Practical & Q&A — for each selected drug, an EMS assessor verifies a practical demonstration and a contraindications Q&A, by name and signature.
- Sign-off — assessor confirms the practical, and the Medical Director authorises. The certificate cannot issue without both.
